Historical Notes

Mike Fellows was the chair of the Montana Libertarian Party for several decades during which time things were operated in a more informal manner than customary. When he passed away suddenly in 2016, the Party was thrown into an existential crisis as no one knew where many of the institutional documents were located and to the best of anyone's recollection they had not had a formal convention in many years. As such, the governing documents had to be completely recreated on the fly in order to preserve the continuity and existence of the arty.
