The 2020 Libertarian Party of Colorado Convention was an annual convention for the Libertarian Party of Colorado. It was initially scheduled to be held from April 3–5, 2020 at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs.[1]

The convention site was relocated to the Sheridan Hotel in Lakewood, Colorado due to venue restrictions in place at the original site due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.[2]

Following additional restrictions on public gatherings due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the convention was cancelled and was instead replaced with a special convention for conducting party business and party nominations.[3] The convention and following board meeting will be available remotely. Check event details here at 6pm on April 13, 2020.

Overview

Convention Delegates nominated candidates to run under the Libertarian ballot line in the 2020 elections. In addition, the convention also selected delegates to represent Colorado at the 2020 National Convention.

Credentials Committee

The Credentials Committee consisted of David Aitken (Chairman), Mike Spalding, Amy Lunde, Beatriz Sutton, and Alan Hayman.

LPCO Board of Directors elections

The board offices of Outreach Director, Secretary, Legislative Director, Treasurer, and Fundraising Director were up for election.[4] An attempt was had later in the year for a special convention to hold board elections but due to a failure to give proper notice, no elections were held.
