Jami Van Alstine is a Historical Archaeologist and anarchist who has a career in Information Technology.  She joined the Libertarian Party of Michigan in 2018 and served as the social media account manager for the Bill Gelineau's campaign for Governor of Michigan.  That same year she joined the Wayne County affiliate, serving as Secretary (2018-19), Vice-Chair (2019-21), Chairman (2021-22), At-Large (2022-).  In 2020, Jami ran for Wayne County Commission seat for District 11, and garnered the most votes to date for county commission for any Libertarian candidate in Michigan's history to date.  She is currently serving on the state LEC as the District 13 representative and chairing the Campaign Support Committee.
