Elliot Axelman was unaffiliated in 2019 when he was recruited to run in the Republican primary in the special election for State Representative for Hooksett in the election that will take place in the beginning of 2020. The New Hampshire Liberty Alliance endorsed Elliot during the Republican primary.

Elliot (Alu) Axelman was the founding Chair of the third incarnation of the Libertarian Party of Queens County.

Elliot was appointed the Temporary County Chair (TCC) of the Libertarian Party of Queens County by the LPNY committee after the de-charter of the previous county party. In March 2017, he was elected as Chairman at the LPQC inaugural convention. In October 2017, Axelman moved to New Hampshire and subsequently left the LPQC.

Media

Elliot Axelman hosted the Liberty Block 'The Liberty Block' on 1490 AM WGCH, a Greenwich, CT-based station that broadcasts to southwest CT and downstate NY. The show aired weekly on Wednesdays from 6-7 PM. Libertarian-leaning guests regularly appear on the show. Upon moving to New Hampshire with the Free State Project in October of 2017, Elliot discontinued hosting the show on 1490 AM.

Elliot manages LibertyBlock.com, which hosts articles and videos/podcasts on self-ownership and government-accountability. Elliot's writing has also been featured on BeingLibertarian.com and TheLibertarianRepublic.com.

As a full-time job, Elliot works for a private company as a paramedic. He has been involved in EMS since 2011 and is flight paramedic certified (FP-C).

For fun, Alu trains in power lifting, MMA, and plays nearly every sport.
