Carl Hastings was Chair of the Libertarian Party of New York from 1977 to 1978.
Hastings lived in Florida, where he was part of the Libertarian Party of South Florida as well as the Florida Libertarian Party. he moved to New York, where he was an At-Large Committee Member, beginning in 1976. Upon the resignation of Donald Feder as Vice Chair, Hastings took over the position. In 1977, he was elected State Chair.
