Reed Ebarb is the current Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Louisiana.
Background
Ebarb was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised just outside of Shreveport in Greenwood, Louisiana. He attended C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport and graduated in 2012. While at C.E. Byrd, he was in JROTC for 4 years and served as the JROTC Armed Drill Team Commander for 2 1/2 years. After High School, Ebarb went on to Louisiana State University in Shreveport where he is pursuing a degree in Financial Analysis with a minor in Economics.
Early Political Campaigns
After hearing a friend was running for mayor of Shreveport, Ebarb joined the campaign in 2009 as the Director of Youth Organization. The Libertarian campaign was involved in several debates and was the first Libertarian Campaign in Northwest Louisiana since the party gained ballot access. After losing the mayoral race, in 2010, Ebarb managed the Parker Ward for Caddo Commissioner campaign. The campaign received 30% of the vote in a 2-way race against another Republican incumbent.
Libertarian Party
In 2012, Ebarb was elected Secretary of the Party at the LPL convention, taking Adrien Monteleone's position who had been elected Chairman of the LPL. Ebarb will be up for re-election at the next LPL convention in 2016.
